The RNLI has a network of local fundraising teams organising a wide range of activities and events which last year raised £14 million to save lives at sea. Each team is supported by a Community Fundraising Manager, although the range and frequency of fundraising events is determined by the members themselves.
Becoming part of your local fundraising team could offer you an opportunity to improve your CV, meet new people, learn new skills or just have fun with fundraising in your community. Some of our members have been volunteering for many years, some just join us for a few months – whatever their commitments allow.
We are currently looking for motivated people to join our local fundraising team and we have a specific vacancy detailed below:
Do you have experience in leading and developing teams and individuals? Are you able to delegate? Are you known for your tact and diplomacy? Do you have knowledge and networks in the local community that you are prepared to contact for the benefit of the RNLI? Then the role of Fundraising Team Leader could be for you. This role would suit someone who is highly motivated and can motivate those around them to achieve success.
You may already have been a successful leader in your professional life or this may be an area of work you wish to develop your skills in before applying for a promotion at work. In either case we would like to hear from you.
We are having a recruitment evening for fundraisers at Newcastle Lifeboat Station (8 South Promenade, Newcastle, BT33 0EX) on Wednesday 14th September at 7pm. Please come along and meet us, and find out more about how you can get involved!
This is a great opportunity to really make a difference by raising vital funds for our volunteer crew members and lifeguards.
