The RNLI has a network of local fundraising teams organising a wide range of activities and events which last year raised £14 million to save lives at sea. Each team is supported by a Community Fundraising Manager although the range and frequency of fundraising events is determined by the team members themselves.
Alongside these teams, many people raise funds on an individual basis on behalf of the RNLI and, a number of businesses also choose the RNLI as their charity of the year. As a charity we are grateful and welcome all of these different fundraising initiatives and we are constantly looking at how we can build on these moving forward.
Currently, there is no fundraising presence in Glasgow and we would like to build a brand new Fundraising Network across the city to help us in our mission to save lives at sea. If you have a little time on your hands and possess a little enthusiasm, passion, skills or ideas or anything else that would help the Glasgow Network get up and running we would love to hear from you!
This is a great opportunity for likeminded people to come together and create a fundraising network that works for them and for the RNLI to help us save even more lives at sea.
All you would need to do is to gain an understanding of our work and be an advocate to spread the word of what we do and come together at times that are convenient for you to help to raise our lifesaving funds.
Becoming involved with the RNLI could offer you an opportunity to improve your CV, meet new people, learn new skills or just have fun whilst also supporting the RNLI to raise funds.
This is a great opportunity to really make a difference by raising vital funds for our volunteer crew members and lifeguards.
