Why the RNLI needs this role

This role will help us save lives at sea by raising income and support from the local community.

Potential time commitment: Flexible - Approximately 3 hours per week (dependent upon number of events)

Team: Community Lifesaving

Location: Kensington, London

Responsible to: Community Fundraising Manager


  • To comply with the Volunteer Commitment
  • To assist (and occasionally attend) in the running of major high profile events  
  • To assist branch members with administrative requirements
  • To maintain the database and contact list
  • To manage and coordinate different spread sheets as required (eg. bookings, payments, ticketing for events etc.)
  • To order fundraising materials through the relevant channels
  • To set up the meeting room for monthly meeting, take minutes and circulate to committee

Measures of Success

  • All Branch/Guild members receive meeting agendas and minutes in a timely fashion
  • Adequate fundraising materials for events

Training and Support

  • Training to fulfil your volunteer role will be provided if required
  • The RNLI will aim to provide opportunities for personal development in your volunteer role
