The RNLI has a network of local fundraising branches organising a wide range of activities and events which last year raised £14 million to save lives at sea. Each Branch and Guild is supported by a Community Fundraising Manager, although the range and frequency of fundraising events is determined by the members themselves.
Getting involved with these activities could offer you an opportunity to improve your CV, meet new people, learn new skills or just have fun with fundraising in your community. Some of our branch members have been volunteering for many years, some just join us for a few months – whatever their commitments allow.
We are currently looking for motivated people to assist with our fundraising initiatives and we have a specific vacancy detailed below:
The CFM in Hull is looking for a Volunteer Events Assistant to suggest new innovative fundraising ideas and to help develop those ideas and assist in organising the activities. The role will involve planning and liaising with other branch members therefore good team working skills and a friendly nature will be important in this role.
This exciting and role will be varied and suit someone who already has, or would like to develop, events planning/management experience. This is a great opportunity to really make a difference by raising vital funds for our volunteer crew members and lifeguards.
This is a volunteer opportunity within the RNLI. RNLI volunteers are people who, unpaid and of their own free will, contribute their time, energy and skills to support the purposes of the RNLI. RNLI volunteers may perform a variety of tasks and duties, under direction and guidance, using their skills, knowledge and time to help the RNLI best achieve its objectives.
We respect and honour our volunteers by building trust and understanding. Such a partnership is not intended to be a legally binding contract or to have mutuality of obligation, but instead express a voluntary two-way commitment where everyone gains satisfaction from being part of our organisation.
