Times: 07.45am – 5.30pm.
Location: Bournemouth Beach, Dorset
We need event volunteers to help run RNLI Sandstorm, a new event consisting of a 5km beach-based obstacle race in Bournemouth on 26 March. It’s a test of strength, determination and teamwork.
This exciting volunteering opportunity involves a range of roles including set up, obstacle stewarding and cheering on the competitors. No prior knowledge or experience of the RNLI is needed; we need fun loving, active, vibrant people based in the area, who are willing to get stuck in and at the same time help raise vital funds for the RNLI volunteer crew members and lifeguards. The course runs between Bournemouth and Boscombe piers with registration and finish by Bournemouth Pier. Full details of where you need to go on arrival will be sent to you in advance.
Getting involved offers you a chance to gain event management experience, meet new people or just have fun supporting the work of the RNLI. We’ll also provide you with an RNLI T shirt, rain mac, breakfast and lunch as well as bottled water and hot drinks.
Thank you for taking part and helping to save lives!
This role will help us save lives at sea by raising income and awareness of the RNLI in the local community and tourist population.
