Our client, a leading charity that provides support and shelter for the homeless across London are seeking an experienced Volunteer Coordinator to join their established team. This is a permanent opportunity based in their South Wimbledon office.

Your main responsibilities as a Volunteer Co-ordinator will be:

Coordinate the organisations volunteering and co-production programmes
Run internal volunteering programmes and lead on co-production initiatives
Work in partnership with service managers to enhance levels of services
Work with managers, team leaders and other staff to identify opportunities for volunteering
Recruit, train and support the induction of all volunteers within the organisation
Provide ongoing support to volunteers via continued training and bi-monthly meetings
Support the Quality Manager to conduct service audits in partnership with customers
Manage volunteer information and reporting processes

As Volunteer Co-ordinator, you will have the following essential criteria:

Experience of co-ordinating volunteers and overseeing volunteering programs
Used to managing relationships with frontline managers and external agencies
Confident in developing and delivering training and or presentations
Experience of directly line managing staff and/or volunteers
A background working for a charity or in the not for profit sector
Knowledge of the homelessness sector would be ideal and relevant challenges of co-production and volunteering
Excellent communication skills, including creative ways of working with and communicating with people
