Are you passionate about international development? Do you have an interest in social business? Do you want to learn about the charity sector? By joining Anza as a Student Ambassador you can support us to raise funds and awareness for our work in Tanzania.

As a Student Ambassador, you will recruit and lead a team to fundraise for Anza. Around 50% of the funds are used for an international challenge with your team – e.g building a school kitchen in Tanzania or climbing Kilimanjaro. The remaining amount is used to start up social businesses in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania.

This programme gives students an opportunity to gain experience with an international charity while studying. You will work directly with our Student Fundraising Team, receiving one on one support, and will get training in areas including fundraising, volunteer management, recruitment, marketing and promotion, and you will learn about social business and international development.

This is a remote working role carried out on your university campus, and has been designed to fit around your studies, roughly 6 hours per week.

When you join the Anza Student Ambassador Programme you are supporting the growth of a network of social businesses that are tackling large scale social, economic and environmental problems that affect people in Tanzania, in a sustainable way. Each social business has the potential to impact the lives of thousands of low and middle income households.

Participation in the Charity Challenge is not a requirement to being a Charity Student Ambassador.

Essential:

  • An interest in International Development and social business
  • An interest in the Charity Sector
  • Outgoing and passionate
  • Organised and self motivated
  • Currently studying at university
  • Based on campus during the next academic year – not on a year abroad or year in industry
