Role: Volunteer Administrator

Supported by: Head of Property & Procurement

Main Purpose: to provide effective administrative support to the Building team

Overview of Role

We require a highly organised and motivated volunteer to provide effective support to our theatre management team. It will involve all aspects of theatre management, from the day-to-day running of a theatre to the general care of the building and dealing with maintenance contracts.

This role would also be ideal for someone who is seeking to build up their CV, a graduate, a parent who is returning to work as well as an experienced professional seeking to contribute the wealth of their experience for the benefit of their local community.

Responsibilities

This could involve filing - improving/maintaining existing filing systems and processes; updating spread sheets; maintaining databases; assisting with the recording of H&S audits and checks as required; supporting the Head of Property in fulfilling financial tasks such as paying bills, updating the various TM budgets on excel and liaising with external companies regarding payments and invoices; assisting with other aspects of the work of the Property & Procurement Department as directed.

  • well organised and efficient
  • good computer skills (including excel)
  • ability to collate data and produce spread sheets/data tables
  • good written and communication skills
  • ability to work well as part of a team


General Requirements

To operate within Chickenshed policies and procedures, including health and safety, equal opportunities, confidentiality and safeguarding policies

Training Help and support will be given as necessary

Times and Commitment

This is a voluntary position for someone who can spare a few hours every week (ideally 1 day but a morning or afternoon per week would be very welcome). Flexible hours are possible. This role offers the opportunity to work within a busy and friendly office. Your contribution will be greatly appreciated and will make a real impact on the work of Chickenshed.
