A brand new, exciting opportunity has arisen for Volunteer Advocates for the RNLI in West Yorkshire to help develop a sustainable philanthropic network. We are looking for people who are able to use their local knowledge, judgment, networks and experience to help the RNLI engage with philanthropic and corporate donors. You will be part of the RNLI West Yorkshire Development Group and we would ask that you attend a small number of meetings throughout the year, where possible. In all other matters, the extent of your involvement can be flexible and determined by you, your other commitments and availability. You will work closely with the Philanthropy Manager and Corporate Partnerships Manager.

As an RNLI advocate you will help the RNLI achieve its strategic objective of halving the number of preventable drownings around the UK and Republic of Ireland by 2024. You will help to raise awareness of the RNLI in West Yorkshire and assist in raising significant funds for the RNLI, ensuring our brave volunteer lifeboat crew and lifeguards have everything they need to save lives at sea.

In return you will be part of a world renowned maritime rescue organisation. You will be recognised as one of the RNLI’s valued ambassadors, making a highly valued contribution to a very worthy cause. You will also have the opportunity to network with business leaders from various sectors.

This is a fantastic opportunity to really make a difference for this lifesaving charity. If you would like to find out more before applying, please contact Heather Little on or 07825 781 570 to arrange a meeting or a visit to a lifeboat station.
