My client, a leading national youth charity, are looking for a strong administrator to support the Compliance Manager and team, providing support and advice to commissioners regarding volunteer compliance, help deliver a vetting service for adult volunteers and general administrative support as required. You will also demonstrate excellent customer service as the role acts as the first point of contact via phone, emails and internal requests.

Key Duties:

  • To act as the first point of contact for the Compliance and Vetting team including daily monitoring and responding to e-mails, phone calls and requests from internal colleagues and volunteers, in line with service level agreements
  • To triage enquiries and ensure referral to appropriate team
  • To deliver vetting service in accordance with the framework compliance, relevant legislation and guidance
  • To undertake all vetting duties efficiently and to a high standard including reference checks, processing online and paper disclosure applications, certificates of good conduct (or similar documentation for overseas) and finger print checks
  • To assess sensitive and complex information making decisions or recommendations as appropriate to role
  • To support the Compliance Officer with risk assessment of disclosure checks
  • To work closely with the Safeguarding Team to ensure a joined up approach to the management of adult members and volunteers
  • To give efficient customer service via the telephone and e-mail including queries regarding DBS, PVG and Access NI and legislative requirements
  • To work closely with Systems and Safeguarding teams to address issues, concerns and identify areas for improvement
  • To support ID verifiers, staff and commissioners using the recruitment system including using problem solving skills
  • To correct sensitive data on the membership system and carry out specific data cleansing as required by the business
  • To create and maintain systems for the compliance team to record and manage all compliance documentation, records and case notes
  • To ensure all vetting reports and compliance data is recorded and filed appropriately in line with charity procedures and data protection policy
  • To ensure issues are investigated and reported to the appropriate manager in a timely manner and any outcomes communicated back to the members appropriately
