A social mobility charity which helps bright, disadvantaged young people through meaningful training and supported employment within major firms need your help now!
Leadership Through Sport and Business (LTSB) make sure those at risk of under-employment find careers that match their talents and ambition, ensuring they are contributing in their roles from day one.
There are a number of volunteer opportunities to support the various projects below:
We are looking for individuals to support us with practice interview sessions with the young people on our programme. Practice interview sessions are a vital component of support that we give to every young person on our programme, the more practice they get the better they become.
In a few weeks there will be an opportunity for professionals to share their professional journeys with the young people on our programme. You will be given a 30-minute slot to talk about your career progression, from the failures to the successes. This will be a great chance to inspire a small group of young people.
Digital Ethics Debate Judge
We are looking for volunteers to judge a debating session which the young people take part in. During this session they will be split into two teams and they will be given time to create key arguments for the chosen topic. It will be your job to judge the young people on their public speaking and communication skills.
Introduce an Employer
We recognise that this may not be the right time for many companies to look at hiring a new apprentice. However, If you are aware of any companies who are recruiting please let us know, support us in advancing equality by opening up opportunities for young people from low income and marginalised backgrounds in the UK.
To find out more about any of these opportunities, please contact Nana Dekyi, Partnerships Manager at Leadership Through Sport and Business at firstname.lastname@example.org
