A well established and highly valuable children's charity based in Cambridge are actively seeking an experienced and passionate Trust and Foundations Manager to lead, manage and implement trust and foundation strategy and income for the charity's service delivery as well as to fund major developments including capital appeal projects.

The successful candidate will obtain strong positive values, have a sense of community, work collaboratively and lead by an excellent example showing compassion and dignity and respect for the cause in question.

Key responsibilities for this role will include:

*To work with the Head of Major Supporters to develop and implement a trusts & foundations programme that complements both the wider trust & foundation strategy and the Income Generation strategy across the Charity as a whole.
*To raise a substantial income from trusts & foundations to meet the fundraising targets set out in the operational and capital budgets. To diversify the charity's portfolio of donors and to build strong long-term relationships with donors by cultivating, stewarding and soliciting major gifts and grants from trusts & foundations.
*To monitor and be responsible for income and expenditure against budgets and to regularly report progress against these targets.
*To work collaboratively with the Income Generation colleagues to facilitate cross selling of relevant opportunities to donors, while ensuring that no donor is approached twice, no duplication of activity and that revenue fundraising and long term fundraising remains sustainable.
*To work with other staff to identify projects and items which need funding, and to 'package' such projects and items to secure the necessary funding.
*To review, update and implement the trusts & foundations element of operational and capital plans on a regular basis, identifying detailed actions for a rolling 12 month period and outlining key plans for longer time-scales.
*To support the Head of Major Supporters to research and understand the future funding needs of the Charity for projects and capital expenditure, through liaison with management, staff members and volunteers.
