This is a great opportunity to work for a small international development charity where you can really see a direct impact of your work, funding programmes vital to the core of the charity's work. Reporting to the Head of Major Gifts, the Trusts and Foundations Executive will be responsible for managing grants of up to £300K, as well as applying for funding from £1K up to multi-year 6-figure applications. There is also the beginnings of work with some statutory sources so there's opportunity to expand there as well. There's a portfolio of c.100 trusts, many of whom are warm and loyal, but there's room for new business to be generated as well.
There may be the opportunity to host trusts visits overseas to show the programmes.
Because of the wide salary range, we are looking for someone with either an existing career in trusts fundraising, with proven ability in securing donations from trusts for 5- and 6-figure applications. Or we would also consider candidates who do NOT have a trusts background yet, but perhaps are transferring from another area of fundraising, or who have writing experience from University, a blog, or work elsewhere.
*Experience in trusts fundraising, or another income stream with extensive writing experience
*High degree of self-awareness and emotional intelligence
*Knowledge of own strengths and weaknesses
*Excellent written skills and face to face relationship building skills
*High degree of attention to detail
