Trustees sought for the Board of Together for Short Lives
Together for Short Lives is the leading UK charity that speaks for all children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions and all those who support, love and care for them. When children are unlikely to reach adulthood, we - and our members - aim to make a lifetime of difference for children and their families.
The charity was formed in 2011 from a merger of Children's Hospices UK (the umbrella body for children's hospices) and ACT (the body for professionals and others concerned with children's palliative care). Its membership comprises organisations (including all UK children's hospices), professionals, and parents, from across the UK.
Together for Short Lives is looking to recruit 3 trustees to join its Board and play a key role in driving forward the charity at a time of both great opportunity and great challenge for children, young people and families.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape an organisation of unique importance at a major point in its development.
We are looking for candidates from across the UK who have strong leadership qualities, an ability to contribute at a strategic governance level and one or more of the following skills, areas of experience or backgrounds:
- Financial Management (to be the Treasurer)
- Fundraising (to be the Chair of our Fundraising & Communications Committee)
- Social Care
If you are interested in serving on this dynamic and committed Board, then please visit www.togetherforshortlives.org.uk/trustee for information on how to apply.
We welcome enquiries from everyone and value diversity across our organisation.
Closing date: 9:00am on 13 October 2017
