Trusteeships at Women in Sport

UK Wide - Meetings held in London, Voluntary role

Following the successes of our female athletes in Rio, Women in Sport is on a mission to ensure the benefits of sport can be experienced by women and girls everywhere.  We’re seeking four exceptional individuals to join our Board and help us achieve our vision to transform sport for the benefit of every woman and girl in the UK.

With over 30 years’ experience in the sport sector, we draw on our unique insight to champion the right of every woman and girl in the UK to take part in, and benefit from, sport: from the field of play to the boardroom, from early years and throughout her life.

We’re seeking four exceptional individuals to enhance our Board of Trustees with the skills and experience we need to grow and achieve our ambition.  We are looking for:

  • A current or recently retired athlete or coach to help us see sport from your perspective.
  • A qualified accountant or equivalent to oversee our finances and business development
  • A fundraising professional to guide our emerging strategy and support us in successful trust, foundation, corporate, major donor and community fundraising
  • A Communications, PR or Public Affairs professional to help us communicate our message more effectively and achieve change sooner.

We value a diversity of experiences of sport, so whatever your interest we’d be delighted to hear from you.  If you share our ambition and values and want to volunteer time, knowledge and skills to make a difference to society join us and be part of this exciting new era for women’s sport.  We’re in.  Are you?
