Trustees for artists' studio provider and educational charity

The Association for Cultural Advancement through Visual Art (ACAVA), established in 1976, is an artists' studio provider and an educational charity. ACAVA started with 27 studios in two buildings and is now one of the largest and longest established studio providers in the UK.

Our Head Office is in North Kensington, W10, and our property portfolio comprises 20 buildings, providing 400 studios and facilities for 500 artists, mostly in London, but also in Essex and Stoke-on-Trent. Current occupancy rates are about 98%.

We are a progressive cultural organisation developing new ways of managing artists' workspaces and meaningfully connecting with communities. Further information is available on our website: www.acava.org.

We are going through a period of positive change and this is a new chapter in the life of a pioneering company. As a Trustee you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact and help steer ACAVA through this next phase of development.

We are seeking new Trustees to complement the skills and networks of our existing Board. We are particularly looking for those with expertise in:

  • Fundraising and philanthropy
  • Financial management
  • Business development and income generation
  • Commercial property development and management

This is an opportunity for experienced Trustees to make a significant impact or if you are new to being part of a Board, this is an opportunity to learn how to apply your skills and experience in the role.

If you are inspired by an opportunity to become a Trustee for ACAVA and to use your expert skills and experience to make a difference, please download the information pack from our website: www.acava.org/about/vacancies
