Trustee (Finance)

ICON THEATRE

TRUSTEE (Finance) for award winning theatre and participatory arts organisation

We are specifically looking for a Trustee with a background in Finance.

Board meetings take place in central London for ease of access of current Board members.

Icon Theatre is based at the Brook Theatre in Chatham, Medway and aims to transform lives and strengthen communities, by supporting people to make and experience world class theatre and participatory arts. We work with disadvantaged and excluded communities across north and east Kent focusing particularly on young people, families and adults with long term unemployment and mental health issues.

Inspirational, excellent new productions are at the heart of our work. Alongside this is a desire to support, develop and create new cultural communities both locally, nationally and internationally, and to grow artistic excellence that really connects with people.

This commitment extends to our Board; as a small company about to take the next step in its development we can offer a chance for experienced Trustees to have a significant impact on our work, and for those new to being part of a Board a chance to learn how to bring their skills and experience to the role of Trustee.

Trustees are unpaid and will need to be available for between four and six Board meetings and an away day each year.

For more information about the role, please download the information pack from our website www.icontheatre.org.uk or email Sarah Robson, Trustee at sarah@sarahrobson.co.uk
