We celebrate Shakespeare's transformative impact on the world by conducting a radical theatrical experiment. Inspired and informed by the unique historic playing conditions of two beautiful iconic theatres, our diverse programme of work harnesses the power of performance, cultivates intellectual curiosity and excites learning to make Shakespeare accessible for all.

Independent of government funding, Shakespeare's Globe has grown dramatically over the last 20 years, since it was founded by pioneering American actor and director Sam Wanamaker and now occupies a key place in London and the UK's cultural identity.

We are now seeking an experienced fully qualified finance professional of stature to join the Board of Trustees as Treasurer. The new Treasurer will work closely with the Trustees, Chief Executive Neil Constable and the rest of the Executive Team to help set the strategic direction and financial planning for the organisation for the coming years and the financial planning to help the Globe to realise upcoming capital projects. The Treasurer also serves as Chair of the Audit Committee. This is a voluntary and unremunerated position.

For more information and to apply, please download the candidate brief from shakespearesglobe.com/jobs and return your completed application to recruitment@shakespearesglobe.com by 12 noon on Friday 7 September 2018.

If you would like to discuss the opportunity further, please call Neil Constable, Chief Executive on 020 7902 1440 (during office hours).
