The Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) is the largest UK professional membership organisation working at the heart of sexual and reproductive health (SRH), supporting healthcare professionals to deliver high quality care to patients. We work together with our 15,000 members, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and other partners to shape sexual and reproductive health for all.
- Publishes high quality evidence-based guidance, clinical and service standards, training and research in sexual and reproductive health (SRH).
- Raises the profile of SRH, ensuring that it becomes established, recognised and influential across the UK.
- Is a voice for sexual and reproductive health professionals.
- Promotes and protecting the work and practice of our members.
- Provides a platform for collaboration and community in SRH.
This is a very important time in the FSRH's development, as we embark on our first 5-year Strategic Plan from 2020 and prepare to move offices to Southwark, London, in November 2019.
This area of health touches all of our lives, and ensuring safe access to high-quality SRH care and contraception remains an important challenge, particularly for women's reproductive health. The FSRH trains health professionals to deliver high-quality SRH care, while influencing decision-makers and helping to create the conditions for improved access to person-centred care across the country.
To do this well, and be an effective, well-run organisation, we need a strong and talented Board of Trustees who are prepared to use their skills and experiences from all walks of life to help guide the next phase of the work of the FSRH.
We are therefore looking for a talented individual who will be able to work effectively with existing Trustees, and we welcome and encourage applications from all backgrounds, genders and ethnic groups.
We are particularly looking for candidates which have significant experience or expertise in the following areas:
- Marketing & communications
- Influencing & campaigning
- Strategy & business development
Serving as a Trustee of our charity provides an essential service to an important cause and can be a very rewarding experience.
Please have a look at the Role Description here: https://www.fsrh.org/news/could-you-be-our-next-fsrh-trustee/. If you feel you meet the criteria and are interested in lending your time and expertise to the FSRH at this crucial time in its development, we want to hear from you.
