Herts Sports and Wellbeing Foundation was registered as a charity in April 2014 to provide support, education, training and the opportunity to take part in sporting activities for groups in society who struggle to access sport and physical activity. The Foundation has developed since then and is looking to recruit a number of new Trustees to shape the organisation as it develops its role in Hertfordshire - in particular, its growing reputation as a source of expert advice and provider of participation opportunities for people with disabilities. This is an exciting stage in our development and we are looking to recruit Trustees who will be as excited as we are about the opportunities ahead of us.
The Trustees will be expected to provide strategic direction for the Foundation within the Charity's constitution. As a Charity we have certain statutory duties and obligations and we hope the Trustees will be able to offer their knowledge, experience and imagination to help us achieve our goals and maintain the highest standards of client service and governance. Our over-riding aim is to support improved quality of life through involvement in sport and physical activity. We would particularly welcome applications from individuals with financial, strategic and senior management skills - but are interested in recruiting Trustees with a diverse range of skills.
