Herts Sports and Wellbeing Foundation was registered as a charity in April 2014 to provide support, education, training and the opportunity to take part in sporting activities for groups in society who struggle to access sport and physical activity. The Foundation has developed since then and is looking to recruit a number of new Trustees to shape the organisation as it develops its role in Hertfordshire - in particular, its growing reputation as a source of expert advice and provider of participation opportunities for people with disabilities. This is an exciting stage in our development and we are looking to recruit Trustees who will be as excited as we are about the opportunities ahead of us.

The Trustees will be expected to provide strategic direction for the Foundation within the Charity's constitution. As a Charity we have certain statutory duties and obligations and we hope the Trustees will be able to offer their knowledge, experience and imagination to help us achieve our goals and maintain the highest standards of client service and governance. Our over-riding aim is to support improved quality of life through involvement in sport and physical activity. We would particularly welcome applications from individuals with financial, strategic and senior management skills - but are interested in recruiting Trustees with a diverse range of skills.

Please view our attached Brief to find out more about the Foundation and the role of the Trustees. We are actively seeking Trustees to fill the roles of Chair and Treasurer.

If you are interested in becoming a Trustee and you think you have the skills and experience we are looking for, please contact Ros Cramp to arrange an informal chat about the charity and the work we do.

Application Process: Please complete the application form and attach a copy of your CV.

Closing date for applications will be midnight, Sunday 10th September 2017.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview on Friday 29th September 2017.
