The Fire Fighters Charity - become a Trustee and help shape our charity.

The Fire Fighters Charity is the UK’s leading provider of rehabilitation and support services for the Fire and Rescue community.

Our Charity is governed by a Board of 15 Trustees, 9 of whom are serving or retired members of the Fire and Rescue Service or Works Fire Fighters.

We have 3 centres in Devon, Cumbria and West Sussex offering a range of support programmes including physical rehabilitation, psychological services and recuperation. In addition, we operate a helpline and provide practical assistance and solutions on a local level through our nationwide network of employees and volunteers.

Our Trustees govern our Charity and provide strategic direction. Day to day operations are led by our Chief Executive and Senior Leadership Team.

To be considered for the role of Trustee you must demonstrate that you:

  • have the capability to operate effectively at a strategic level;
  • will commit the necessary time to undertake the Trustee role; and
  • have the passion and commitment to become a member of our Trustee Board..

In addition to the skills required to be a Trustee, we would also welcome applications from professionals with an income generation and marketing background.

As a volunteer, there is no remuneration for the role but ‘out of pocket’ expenses will be reimbursed. For further information on how to apply and a role description please visit http://www.firefighterscharity.org.uk/about-us/working-for-us/vacancies/trustee

We welcome applications from all sections of the community.
