Trustee

Trustee

Role Description: The Trees for Cities Board of Trustees is seeking a new Trustee (Systems & IT). This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about trees, the environment and urban communities, and who has deep experience in IT systems and infrastructure. The Board and Senior Management Team has identified IT systems and infrastructure as a key area of strategic focus and opportunity over the coming years and so the Trustee will provide expert advice and guidance to ensure the charity is best using technology to pursue its vision and mission, and achieving its agreed objectives.

Trees for Cities is the only UK charity working at a national and international scale to improve lives by planting trees in cities. We get stuck in with local communities to cultivate lasting change in their neighbourhoods - whether it's revitalising forgotten spaces, creating healthier environments or getting people excited about growing, foraging and eating healthy food. We have our headquarters in London and our 50+ staff work across the country. We are a growing and ambitious organisation working at the core of many of the most pressing issues facing our urban environments and communities.

Board meetings: The Board meets four times a year in London, usually on Wednesday afternoons.

Term: Four-year term, with the option to extend for a further term.

Please note, this is a volunteer position and is unpaid.

To apply, please send a cover letter and CV to david@treesforcities.org

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Trees for Cities is an Equal Opportunity Employer and actively encourages candidates of all backgrounds to apply for this position. Please let us know if you have any access requirements of which you would like us to be aware during this process.
