Who we are
The Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI) is a long standing and distinguished charity dedicated to improving nursing in the home and community. Founded in 1887 by the Rathbone family, the QNI exists to ensure that patients nursed at home and in the community receive high quality care. We do this by supporting community nurses in their work and, funding innovations to improve services. We also play a key role influencing policy-makers and Governments in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and campaigning to improve the quality of nursing care in the home. Based in London, the QNI is a thriving charity with strong financial foundations and governance arrangements. We recently moved into larger premises to accommodate our expanding team.
What we are looking for
We are looking for two people with senior experience in a business, social enterprise or charitable organisation, including knowledge and skills in any of the following: finance, governance, communications and human resource management. Previous experience as a trustee would be helpful, as well as an understanding of organisational and system change.
We are in addition looking for a senior nurse who brings up to date knowledge of community and primary care nursing, with experience of leadership in either service delivery or commissioning.
