A large disability charity based in south-east London is seeking a Treasury Accountant for a brand new role as part of their finance team transformation.
This represents a chance to join a well-established charity at an exciting time of growth. They are looking for a flexible and proactive person to grow into the role as the organisation changes.
Duties:
-Ensure that all bank accounts are fully reconciled on a timely basis
-Work collaboratively with other members of the Finance team to ensure that postings for bank and cash accounts are accurate and timely
-Work closely with the fundraising team to ensure the donation and income accounts are reconciled regularly
-Produce a weekly cash report for management and a monthly one for inclusion in the management accounts
-Control the cash issued to units in line with policies
-Ensure that funds are in the appropriate bank accounts to meet payments as they fall due.
-Keep a log of authorised signatures for all bank and investment accounts
-Manage the bank mandate and signatories ensuring they are kept up to date and accurate
-Develop and maintain a good day-to-day relationship with all bank and cash investment providers
Requirements:
-AAT of part-qualified accountant
-Treasury management experience and knowledge
-Accounting experience involving bank reconciliations and posting of transactions
-Experience of producing management reports
-Detailed and practical understanding and experience of bank reconciliations
-Bank mandates and company financial regulations
-Management of multiple bank accounts across multi-site organisation preferred
-Charity finance experience desirable
