Devon Development Education at the Global Centre is seeking a new Treasurer. We are an Exeter-based charity which offers resources and training to schools and a programme of events to the local community, all of which aim to broaden people's awareness of the wider world and help them to make links between their own lives and those of others. Working across Devon, Plymouth and Torbay we run a variety of established projects, including Cultural Champions, Food for Thought, Fairtrade Devon and Telling our Stories, Finding our Roots. Over the past year, DDE has responded to the issues revealed by the Black Lives Matter movement, supporting efforts to make school history curricular more inclusive, advising various local institutions on diversity matters and supporting People of Colour.

Our Treasurer is leaving after 7 years, during which he has put in place good monitoring and reporting systems. We need a new trustee who can pick up from this excellent basis and help to provide strong financial management as we seek new sources of income. The estimated time needed in total is 1-2 hours per week on average, working online and/or at DDE's office in Exeter.

If you have experience of financial management and would like to help this busy local charity please contact Sue Kay, Chair of Trustees, for more details: email . You can find out more about DDE/Global Centre at
