Croydon Mencap aims to provide support and services to improve the quality of life for people with learning disabilities, their families and carers and for children with SEN. We are an established and well respected charity in the London Borough of Croydon, being the major voluntary service provider of support, advice and services to people with learning disabilities, their families and carers in the borough.
Our present Treasurer is standing down and so we need someone to join our Board as a trustee to take on the role of Treasurer. We employ an experienced finance officer and we are fortunate to have good reserves. This is an interesting time to join our Board as we are currently exploring new ways of developing our services and would welcome a new Treasurer who will help enable us to move forward.
In addition the treasurer will need to meet with the Finance officer, and with the Chair and CEO as necessary.
In return we hope you will be rewarded by the satisfaction of supporting an organisation committed to making a difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities, their families and carers and to the lives of children with SEN.
The Board meets bi-monthly and in addition there is an annual Away Day and AGM. The Board meetings are held in Leslie Park Road, East Croydon.
If you are interested in becoming the Treasurer for Croydon Mencap please contact Sue Wragg, the chair at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a meeting.
