The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is the leading organisation for the education, training, accreditation and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors in the UK. Our register of more than 9,000 individual therapists is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority (PSA). As part of our commitment to protecting the public, we work to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against therapists on our register.
We are seeking an experienced Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. The overall role of a Treasurer is to maintain an overview of the organisation's financial affairs, ensure its financial viability and ensure that proper financial records and procedures are maintained. This is a voluntary, unpaid position. The Treasurer will be reimbursed for expenses incurred (eg travel and accommodation) in carrying out their duties in accordance with the UKCP Expense Policy. Trustees are not otherwise compensated for their service under charities and companies' law.
