LOOKING FOR AN OPPORTUNITY TO START A CAREER IN SUPPORT WORK – HOMELESSNESS SERVICES?

 

 

 

Here is a great opportunity for anyone looking for a change in career or looking to get your foot through the door of a great Organisation offering Supported Housing and Care services to Adults at risk of homelessness.

 

Your role will be to support and empower customers to increase their life skills. You will be trained and fully supported by a great team of highly experienced Housing and Care professionals.

 

Role Overview:

 

  • As Trainee Support Worker you will be a member of the front line staff, working in homelessness services which provide support to those who have been homeless or at risk of homelessness.

  • You will work alongside the team to provide a service that enables our vulnerable customers to achieve their goals, including providing key work to a small caseload of customers.

  • You will be supported to learn and develop over the course of the year and will undertake two six month placements in a variety of services including mental health, young people and complex needs. If eligible, you will be supported to complete a Level 2 Qualification in Health & Social Care.

 

 

Criteria:

 

  • Highly motivated and Enthusiastic

  • Interest in supporting Vulnerable people (voluntary experience highly desirable)

  • Knowledge and understanding as to how and why people become homeless.

  • Good Communicator in both verbal and written English.

  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office

 

 

Salary:                           £17,000 per annum – 1 year fixed term contract

 

Hours:                            37.5 per week on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.

 

Location                    Various locations around London
