Family Futures is a nationwide apotion & adoption support agency and they are looking for a Therapy Services Manager to spearhead a multidisciplinary team based in London. TPP Recruitment has partnered with Family Futures to manage the recruitment process of the Therapy Service Manager vacancy.

The job of Therapy Services Manager is crucial to Family Futures? work. As a senior role, the position will involve entering an established team to lead and manage the therapy services across a broad range of needs. These services will primarily deal with the support of children placed with families, implementing a variety of techniques to help smooth the process of adoption for all involved by helping them to adjust to change in a constructive way.
As the nature of such services will be multidisciplinary, the work will involve a great deal of understanding in regards to the needs of children and families. The Therapy Services Manager should expect to deal with such groups directly and be able to produce written reports of their work (and the work of others) in an efficient and clear way. Additionally, their style should be one that emphasises trust and openness while also being able to set clear goals and objectives for the staff under their employ.
The role offers a degree of flexibility in working hours including home working and has a TOIL scheme in place; annual salary appraisals are also a feature of this position.
The successful candidate will have considerable experience managing groups of at least 10 people and be comfortable with speaking authoritatively on children?s issues. Consequently, a professional background in social work consultancy, CAMHS, children?s hospitals, or psychiatric work will be looked upon well but must include an element of service provision. The ability to manage budgets is also a prerequisite for this role and demonstrable experience of this skill will be required. Due to the variety of roles the Therapy Service Manager will oversee, it is important for any applicant to be able to adapt to new styles of working quickly; moreover, it is essential that any applicant be able to work professionally but also with compassion when difficult situations should arise.
