Team Manager - Housing and Support
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Central London

To provide a high quality accommodation based support service to single homeless customers with complex needs? This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to lead a team of staff providing an outstanding quality service to single homeless people.
As well as having experience of supporting vulnerable people to achieve independent living you must have a clear understanding of why people become homeless and the needs and challenges they face. You will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills and a commitment to excellence to lead and direct staff ensuring that they are supported to deliver the highest standards of service delivery to residents and customers. You will deliver a contract compliant service that meets key performance indicators and implement the London Borough's homelessness strategy. You must also have sound financial management of the service budget.

You will be directly reporting to the Area Manager and will be responsible for a team of Support Workers and Support Assistants.
To recruit, manage and lead staff ensuring that they are trained in their duties and undergo annual appraisal of their performance.
To set clear expectations of quality standards, work plans and targets for staff.
Through your regular structured support you will inspire and enable staff to perform well; as individuals and as part of a team.
To ensure all clients have a valid tenure and are inducted into the service, emphasising their rights and responsibilities.
Effectively manage rent arrears, voids and maximise income.
To ensure all maintenance issues are progressed using the maintenance systems.
If you have previous experience of managing budget this would be ideal as it will be your responsibility to monitor income and expenditure and ensure that the service keeps within set targets and income is maximised. You will also participate in annual budget preparation and monthly income and expenditure analysis.
