Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

About the Organisation:

TPP’s client, a leading homelessness charity in London, provides supported housing for homeless customers with complex needs. They provide solutions to homelessness through shelter, support and advice to over 1500 each year across four London boroughs.

The Role:

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will lead and motivate a team of staff to ensure that they are supported to deliver a high-quality accommodation-based support service to single homeless customers with complex needs. You will ensure the delivery of a contract-compliant service that meets key performance indicators and is kept in-line with the Borough’s homelessness strategy. You will also be directly involved with the financial management, monitoring income and expenditure of the service budget.

About You:

As well as having experience of supporting vulnerable people to achieve independent living, you must have a clear understanding of why people become homeless, and the needs and challenges they face. You will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills and have experience of supporting staff to deliver the highest standards of service delivery to customers, effectively managed rent arrears and voids to maximise income. You will have experience of maintaining effective relationships with outside agencies including the police, social service and other statutory and voluntary agencies. You will ideally have previous experience of managing budgets as it will be your responsibility to monitor income and expenditure and ensure that the service keeps within set targets and income is maximised. You will also participate in annual budget preparation and monthly income and expenditure analysis. You will also be willing to work flexible shift patterns including evenings or weekends where required.
