Would you jump at an opportunity to work for one of the UK's leading organisations who specialise in Housing and Support? Are you passionate about providing a high-quality accommodation based support service to single homeless customers with complex needs?

About the Organisation:

TPP’s client, a leading homelessness charity in London, provide supported housing for homeless people. They provide solutions to homelessness through shelter, support and advice to over 1500 each year across four London Boroughs.

The Role:

As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for assisting the Team Manager to manage the project on a day to day basis. In addition, you will have full responsibility for line managing a designated number of Support Workers as well as holding a complex needs caseload and being a general point of contact for day to day support queries for the Support Workers on shift. Managing the day to day pressures of a busy hostel environment whilst dealing with unforeseen incidents will be a key element in your role.

Key Responsibilities:

You will support the Team Manager to maintain effective relationships with outside agencies, undertake supervision of your designated Support Workers, ensure that Supported Housing staff collect rent and manage arrears effectively for both current and past residents, and ensure that all customers are provided with a high-quality service through having good quality and regularly reviewed SPARs (Support Planning and Reviews), RMP’s (Risk Management Plans) and key working sessions.

About you:

The successful Team Leader will have previous management experience, or demonstrate willingness to develop management skills in a residential setting. You will have at least 2 years’ experience of working in housing, care or support services, experience of working with young homeless people with high support needs, and experience of rent management. The successful Team Leader will also have a very good understanding of issues facing homeless people, housing legislation and Welfare benefits.
