A leading charity in West London who support people with disabilities, are looking for a Supported Employment Coordinator to join in their mission to remove the barriers that young people with disabilities face.

Ideally, you will be able to start immediately, but candidates with a maximum of a 1 month notice period will still be considered.

This vital charity are leading the way, with a great reputation for setting up and delivering supported internships for young people with disabilities and ultimately, getting them into meaningful, paid employment.

As the Supported Employment Coordinator, your role will be to provide coaching, support, advice and guidance to young people aged 16-25 during their internship placements at partner organisations in West London.

Initially, you will work closely with mentors on site to ensure they can confidently manage and train their intern. You will then work to facilitate the progression of the interns into paid employment opportunities by identifying strengths of the individual and engaging with suitable employers on behalf of the intern. Some of the sectors that are often included are catering, service, administration, IT and retail.

As the Supported Employment Coordinator, you will hold high expectations for the employment potential of young people with learning disabilities. You must have some experience of employment support delivery for marginalised groups and an understanding of the barriers that young people with disabilities face. You also must be able to travel easily throughout West London boroughs.
