South London

£22,000 per annum

Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, including evenings and weekends

About the Organisation:

TPP’s client, a leading homelessness charity in London, provides supported housing for homeless customers with complex needs. They provide solutions to homelessness through shelter, support and advice to over 1500 each year across four London boroughs.

The Role:

The aim of the role is to support and empower customers to increase their life skills, self-management and confidence to successfully sustain independent living. This is achieved through the provision of individualised support, tailored to the specific needs of the homeless adults and young people who use the services.

All projects operate over 24 hours a day, seven days a week including weekends and bank holidays. This role will be on the rota working across seven days including bank holidays and weekends and is a key part of delivering safe and secure accommodation for vulnerable customers with complex needs. This role will be both rewarding and challenging.

About you:

As well as having experience of supporting vulnerable people to achieve independent living, you must have a clear understanding of why people become homeless, and the needs and challenges they face. You must have experience in taking on a caseload of customers, with responsibility for key working, co-ordinating support packages and proactively ensuring all required tasks and activities are completed. You will be part of a dedicated and supportive team, and so will need to demonstrate a positive and inclusive approach. You must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. You will be willing to work flexible shift patterns which include Bank Holidays, evenings and weekends where required.
