An amazing opportunity has arisen for a temporary Student Welfare Officer to join an active student services team. Here you will engage with numerous departments; working collaboratively to provide the best possible outcomes for the students. This is a renowned university known for its exceptional alumni and 97% employment rate for graduates studying full-time.
As a Student Welfare Officer, you will work across two campuses in Bloomsbury and Moorgate providing support, advice and guidance predominately on welfare related issues.
Qualities of a Student Welfare officer:
*Experience working within student welfare in a higher education environment
*Excellent customer service
*Enjoys liaising with a variety of resources internally and externally
No one day is the same but here are a few things you might get up to:
*Provide guidance, information and advice relating to student welfare and pastoral care
*Offer support to students who are experiencing emotional or practical difficulties that will affect their learning
*Offer an emergency service for students in immediate distress
*Collaborate with the Student Association President to raise the profile of welfare issues
*Act as an advocate for students when necessary
