A vibrant education charity in the East of England are expanding the team and recruiting for a STEM Coordinator on a part time (4 days), fixed term contract until March 2019. This growing charity are dedicated to developing young people through life-long learning and inspiring them to consider a career in STEM.
Joining a small team and with the support from the STEM Programme Manager, your role will be centered around delivering Engineering workshops and sessions to young people in schools and colleges throughout the East of England. Your aim will be to raise awareness of engineering in schools and to promote STEM education in schools and at public events.
Whilst working in a team, this role requires you to work independently, organise your own workload and meet deadlines. You will have the autonomy to initiate and develop working relationships with schools and colleges in the East of England, so good influencing and partnership skills are a must!
You will need to have a proven strong track record of teaching or delivering sessions/presentations to large, diverse young audiences. Knowledge of the engineering sector and a keen interest in STEM education will be valuable.
This role is home based, but will involve extensive travel throughout the East of England in a vehicle with a trailer, so you must have a full driving licence with category B+E. You will also be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
