TPP are working in exclusive partnership with The Canal and River Trust to recruit for a Statutory Funding Manager based in London.
The Canal and River Trust are one of the UK’s largest charity and are responsible for 2000 miles of historic canals, rivers and docks.
This also includes museums, archives and a large collection of protected historic buildings. The vision is to create waterways that help to build and enrich the lives of those in the community.
You will join the Enterprise team where you will line manage one project coordinator. You will seek out creative ways of identifying new funding opportunities, including statutory and public funding, that meet with the trusts objectives. From this, you will seek out appropriate partners, writing and submitting proposals while monitoring the success of these. You will be responsible for building the trusts reputation within local communities and managing relationship with Transport for London and Local Authorities.
To be successful in this role, you will have a sound track record in statutory and public funding. This could include Lottery, Local Enterprise, Heritage, Local Authority and regeneration funding. You will be able to demonstrate successful bid writing and partnership development. You will be able to build on your strategic experience to be proactive or creative in seeking out new funding opportunities. You will be a natural relationship builder with effective communication skills to influence key partners and stakeholders. Additionally, you will be highly numerate and competent at financial reporting as you will be managing budgets of up to £5million. Finally, you will be willing to travel and have a valid driving license.
The successful candidate will benefit from a salary package of up £50k (including car allowance), 25 days holiday and a competitive pension contribution. You will also get to work in an uplifting and relaxing environment by the canals in the Little Venice Office.
