A globally professional body are recruiting for a Standards Manager on an 18month contract (with the possibility of extension) to work on an exciting project ensure their entry, technical and professional standards remain relevant for the future. They are looking to develop options to update their approach, then engage with members, employers, educators and wider sector, in order to move towards ever more inclusive systems to assess standards of professional and competence.

As someone who is able to develop and manage delivery of SMART project plans, you will work with others to project manage the development of options to update entry standards, (including updating areas and elements of practice), associated assessment and accreditation systems. It is then anticipated that you will then assist develop and manage the implementation plan for the institute and educational delivery partners of any agreed changes.

Coming from a professional body background you will use your understanding of technical and professional competencies, as well as how they can be assessed to develop and maintain a matrix of competence across the institute and it's members as well as design, develop and, at a strategic level, monitor and maintain a suite of assessment and accreditation systems suited to the different levels and areas of competence which is: easy to administer, fit for purpose, incorporates security measures, fits with the CRM system and educational practice and is capable of being upgraded.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to work with Committees and Working Groups to commission and author technical and professional resources and to establish systems to continue to help recognise members' competence as well as support colleagues in training others in the outputs and outcomes of the project.
