A Professional Body in central London who work to improve the standard of medical practice across the UK are looking for an interim Standards Development Officer to support the team while they recruit for the longer term post.
The expected length of the assignment is about 6 weeks to 2 months and there is the opportunity for this interim post to become longer term permanent for the right person.
You'll need to be available to start from the 8th July or thereabouts and ideally, you'll be available 4 days a week but full time can be considered.
The organisation review a suite a professional standards and guidance for medical practice and are currently working with a technology partner to deliver guidelines via new software and for this to be successful, the guidelines must remain up to date continuously.
As the standards Development Officer, you will manage the guidelines review process, which is currently being trialled, to develop a realistic and sustainable review model.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
-plan monitor and review the update of guidelines, providing reports to the Standards Board
-Liaise with lead members of the steering group and other colleagues to complete projects
-perform literature searches and reviews, for these to be reviewed by clinical experts, being the key point of contact for these experts
-Administer a review process
To be considered for the role, you'll need to have experience in the following:
-Project management experience including knowledge of PM principles and systems and planning and coordinating activities and project within a relevant context (ie, accreditation, quality assurance)
-experience of administering a review process, including working with experts and collating outcomes
-experience undertaking literature searches and packaging the outcome for review and use by experts
You'll also need to have excellent working knowledge of common Microsoft packages and will have exceptional interpersonal skills.
If you have experience working with doctors or high profile professionals and an understanding of the NHS, this would be advantageous.
