Standards Development Manager

An ex sector skills council whose mission it is to lead on building skills and talent, creating a properly inclusive workforce to power sustainable growth for one of the UK's most creative and growing industries are recruiting for a Standards Development Manager to influence and shape standards and vocational pathways.

As someone who has experience of developing vocational qualifications or apprenticeships, you will have excellent knowledge of areas such as technical education reforms and the apprenticeship levy in order to prioritise, lead, create and review occupational standards and frameworks to specification, ensuring they are relevant UK wide and future facing.

You will have experience of managing technical experts as well as bringing together industry experts in order to project manage the development process, whilst also having excellent communication skills in order to build long lasting and sustainable relationships with regulators such as the IfA.

As the Standards Development Manager, you will be the first point of contact for standards development, and will work collaboratively and effectively with employers, industry bodies and relevant regulatory authorities to ensure industry requirements are understood and reflected.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a small but growing fast paced environment, is happy being hands on and practical, and enjoys working with influential colleagues across industry and government.

You will need to be customer focused with proven experience and technical knowledge of qualification frameworks, apprenticeship standards and the various pathways into work.

You will be part of a friendly and lively team who all have a passion for the screen industry, so ideally you will have one too, even if you haven't worked in or with the industry before! They have a grown up and flexible working environment and although the contract is initially for 12months, there is funding in place for the right person to continue in the role for up to 3years.
