About the Events Communication Team
The St John Ambulance Event Communications Team provide bespoke advice on communications structure at the planning and delivery stages of events. We deploy physical infrastructure to provide the most effective and resilient means of communication for all our operational activities. The team regularly works with other specialists units from both SJA and our key external stakeholders including the relevant statutory services.
The Event Communications Team is constantly evolving and developing new technical solutions meaning this is an exciting time to join the expanding team in London.
Volunteering with us
The successful applicant will receive a comprehensive training package including radio controlling, hardware familiarisation and technical knowledge, in order to act as a Communications Planner and Event Technical Communications Lead for St John Ambulance events.
The role holder will work alongside key regional decision makers including the wider planning team for a variety of events ranging from community festivals to pan London sporting events such as the London Marathon.
Good communication, IT skills and a drive to learn are essential for this role. Successful applicants would also be able to demonstrate excellent teamworking experience.
