A high-profile animal welfare charity is currently looking for a Special Events Manager to join their High Value team in their head office in Central London for a 1 year fixed-term contract.
The post-holder will be responsible for leading and developing the Special Events team, developing and managing the Event Committees to deliver and maximise income whilst also developing and maintaining a Special Events strategy which ensures that the team grows its income to meet the needs of the charity.
Key responsibilities include:
- To increase income by leading on the development and delivery of the special events programme and contributing to the overall fundraising strategy
- To lead and manage an effective and driven Special Events Team, overseeing all activities and excellent relationship management, to maximise income and build loyalty to the charity
- To recruit and develop relationships with high value supporters and lead the Event Committees for scheduled special events.
In addition to having a strong history in special events, this organisation are looking for someone with experience in building relationships at a senior level, due to the heavy involvement this post-holder will have with the charity's committees.
In addition, there is a process soon to be underway whereby new special events will be proposed and will need to be honed and the wheels set in motion with regards to their implementation. Rather than a 'placeholder' maternity cover role, this year-long contract has the scope to provide a good amount of experience in assisting with innovation and the creation of new and exciting bespoke special events.
