Our client is a leading children's charity and the have an exciting vacancy for a HCPC registered social worker who will be an integral part of the National FGM centres objectives.
The programme aims to inform and improve policy and practice at local and national levels by identifying, generating and sharing high quality evidence on what works to prevent and tackle female genital mutilation (FGM) and other harmful practices such as breast ironing/flattening and abuse linked to faith or belief. The service is also working to deliver a system change in social work services for girls affected by female genital mutilation and their families, working with statutory agencies, government departments and local community organisations.
This role is ideal for a Social Worker, with a broad experience of working with children who is wishing to broaden their experience and will be home based.
Their will have a manageable caseload excellent support and specialist training to build knowledge will be provided.
