TPP’s client, a leading Mental Health charity, is seeking a Social Inclusion Project Worker to join their active team at their Art Activities recovery project in Camden.

About the Charity:

Our client is a highly reputable Mental Health charity who promotes recovery and campaigns for the right of people with mental health issues.  The Creative Arts Recovery Project promotes positive mental health and wellbeing through the creative arts, work experience and learning, and offers a holistic support programmes adults with varying mental health issues who are seeking support in their recovery.

The Role:

Reporting to the Community Programmes Services Manager, your role as Social Inclusion Project Worker will be to work with service users with varying mental health needs and to provide them with flexible and responsive support based on their individual needs and aspirations. You will identify goals and ways for them to achieve them and evidence on the VIEWS database. As part of the Art Programme group, you will facilitate group working and report on outcomes and achievements regularly, using measures such as the Mental Health Warwick Edinburgh Wellbeing Scale. You will also work with service users to facilitate access to appropriate services to progress their growth and recovery, and supervise activities. In addition, you will be involved in the recruitment and supervision of volunteers, and to provide inductions where necessary.

About you:

To be considered for this rewarding and fulfilling opportunity you will be qualified to degree level or equivalent in Mental Health, social care, or a related field. You will have experience of working within a mental health setting and experience in providing advice, guidance and training to others. You will be confident in successfully managing caseloads, and managing confidential issues. You will have excellent communication skills, and experience of liaising with Care Coordinators, referrers, community-based organisations. have a good knowledge and understanding of personal budgets and community mental health teams. Experience of working with people with varying and enduring mental health problems and a good understanding of community mental health teams are key to this role, as are knowledge and understanding of fixed budgets.
