TPP's client, one of the UK's leading mental health specialist charities is seeking a full time Social Inclusion Project Worker to work in South East London.
Our client has made a commitment to supporting mental health across the UK. With a focus on information based services, this organisation works hard to protect the interests of those with mental health issues. These service span a broad range of issues and amenities and include everything from legal advice to lobbying.
The job of Service Inclusion Project worker will encapsulate a myriad of different responsibilities that will contribute to the recovery of recipients of its care. The role will involve appraising and co-producing appropriate service user's journeys through our clients array of amenities. Additionally, the successful candidate for this role will work to ensure all monitoring and statutory requirements are met throughout the process.
Providing flexible and responsive support to end users will be a priority in this role, making informed decisions based on the needs and aspirations of end service users. To this end, carrying out person centred assessments focussing on the challenges faced by recipients of care will be key. Additionally, liaising with Care Coordinators and other professionals as well as recruiting and supervising volunteers will be central to achieving your goals. Following Safeguarding procedures will be a continual process as will compliance with a range of policies that are internally implemented throughout our client's organisation; record keeping of these processes will be ongoing.
The successful applicant will be someone who has a degree level qualification (or equivalent) in mental health, social care, volunteering or a related field. Experience working in the mental health sector is essential, as is a demonstrable ability to provide advice, guidance and training to others. Additionally, presentational skills will be required as well as the capacity to network and liaise with a host of external organisations. Examples of how a candidate can develop new ways to promote services will be expected. An intermediate level in MS office is necessary, as is the ability to work within a fixed budget.
