A permanent, full-time Social Housing Resettlement Worker job in South London paying a salary of £23,000-£25,000.
Your new organisation
An established Social Housing Charity who pride themselves on their support to society across London.
The charity provides a wide range of different support services, all ensuring the service users are able to live a happy and independent life and take control of their own lives.
Due to successful growth, they are looking for a Social Housing Resettlement Officer to join their team.
Your new job
In your job, you will join the successful Housing team in a large supported accommodation service.
You will provide practical support, advice and guidance to vulnerable customers, enabling them to move on positively from the service.
You will liaise closely with Local Authorities & Housing Benefits Offices where the customers are moving to, ensuring the independence of the customers and the foundations of their independent living.
Your duties will include Housing Management advice, occupancy advice, practical assistance in regards to their move, accompanying customers when viewing potential properties & planned support after their move.
You will be offered a salary of £23,000-£25,000 per annum, a comprehensive training & development programme and other internal staff benefits. Shifts will also include mornings & evenings.
You will hold demonstrable experience within a similar Social Housing capacity working with vulnerable Young People from a wide range of different backgrounds to achieve independent living.
You will hold excellent knowledge on homelessness & related factors such as drugs & alcohol, alongside the communication skills and the enthusiasm needed to empower the individuals to lead their lives their way, improve life skills and follow their long term goals.
