We are working with a charity based in East London, who aim to enable older people to retain maximum choice over their lives, maintain and improve health and prevent social isolation.

They provide a free, independent and high quality advice and advocacy service on matters relating to health, social welfare and social care.

The Helpline Team Leader is a new role, which has been created following a review of the Helpline to strengthen integration between health, social care and community based services, ensuring residents are provided with the right help as quickly as possible.

As Helpline Team Leader you will

  • Lead an effective, efficient and safe helpline for the residents.
  • Day to day management and leadership of a team of 4 Helpline Adviser's and 3 First Response Team Leaders.
  • Be the key day to day contact for the helpline, liaising effectively with community health and adult social services.
  • Monitor, review and develop the helpline.

They are looking for someone who

  • Has experience of working in adult social care settings or helpline.
  • Experience of leading a high performing team.
  • Experience of delivering services that meet defined outcomes and outputs.
  • Excellent understanding of key legislation ie Care Act, Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
