TPP?s client, an established housing and disability support charity is looking for a service manager to work across the East of England.

Our client has over 40 years' experience in providing accommodation and support to adults with a variety of disabilities. Whether at home or in the workplace, our client endeavours to help people live life to the fullest no matter what their circumstances may be. The job of Service Manager will be a vital role in this organisation, with a focus on providing an effective and high quality service over a range of amenities; including a step-down service that provides accommodation to customers with complex needs for up to six months

Situated in Lincolnshire, this domiciliary service provides care to those in need and will involve overseeing a team of support workers as well as a team leader. As a charity our client takes great pride in its values and as such will require a candidate with a strong commitment to community support. As a Registered Manager, this job will require the successful applicant to keep services in line with Care Quality Commission standards. Providing day to day management will be a key feature of the role and will range from direct contact with your support workers to liaising with external agencies. The primary group this service currently caters for is the elderly, however, our client would like to expand it to include people with Learning Disabilities and Dementia. As such, the job will also involve a degree of expansion and the Service Manager will be expected to engage with marketing activities and strategies. Deputising for the Area Manager will be required, as will covering for other service managers in the immediate vicinity.

As our client is building a domiciliary care service the successful candidate will be skilled in business development and have experience in the domiciliary care market. Health and Social Care training up to NVQ level 3 is essential as is training in first aid, Manual Handling and Health and Safety. Experience of working with customers with complex needs is a must as is a willingness to achieve the Care Certificate.
