Short description of role:

Our client, a Disability Charity are currently recruiting for a Service Manager, the main objective of the role is to Ensure that the Community Sight Support Service operates both efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with the Operations Director, You will coordinate, motivate and supervise the Support Workers in the provision of quality services for the Service Users. Each Support Worker provides supervision and support and guidance to a case-load of 45-50 service users. You will manage the process of complex cases and be responsible for the maintenance and output of statistics recorded by the charity on a Database.

Main responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 17 support workers
  • Ensure Service Users receive the highest standard
  • Maintain accurate records of meetings
  • Work closely with the Operations Director
  • Conduct visits
  • Authorise small Grants
  • Provide supervision for the telephone support worker monthly
  • Prepare excel reports on service statistics
  • Review new referrals and pass to Support Workers for assessment
  • Write safeguarding reports
  • A Standard DBS is required
