Senior Support Worker (Enhanced) Offenders

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to empower ex-offenders to increase their life skills, self-management and confidence to successfully sustain independent living and not reoffend. You will be working with an outstanding organization providing a high quality service to single homeless people in London.
As well as having experience of supporting vulnerable people to achieve independent living you must have a clear understanding of why people become homeless and the needs and challenges they face.
You will need to demonstrate strong support skills with ex-offenders. Experience of supporting vulnerable people with offending histories and may be at risk of re-offending.
You will also have experience of occupancy agreements in a supported housing setting; dealing with voids and rent arrears.
You will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of a range of sanctions imposed by the CPSs such as fines, ASBOs, ATRs, DRRs and DTTOs,

About the Role
You will be responsible for the support of a set caseload of customers with complex needs and a history of offending.
You will be supporting customers in a person centered way to suit their individual needs.
You will need the skills and experience to recognize indications of offending and anti-social behaviour, provide specific interventions and refer to appropriate services.
Liaise closely with referrers to advertise vacancies and fill voids within set timescales.
To support customers to pay their rent, including providing advice on benefits and debt management.
Implement strategies to address breaches of occupancy agreements that seek to prevent and avoid eviction.
